To my misfortune, I was not blessed with the naturally straight, manageable and delightful-looking hair that I have always wanted. So you can imagine that my haircare routine is rather time-consuming and even tedious at times. That is why, whenever possible, I try to extend the time between hair washes. I can normally get away with three days without washing my hair but then it needs some help.
I have come across Batiste quite unintentionally. I had no thoughts about getting any dry shampoo as I have once tried a couple and did not quite like the effect on my hair.
Batiste had recently entered the Bulgarian market; a small marketing campaign was ongoing this June when I found them in Lilly Drogerie in Sofia. I have read and heard impressive reviews for Batiste dry shampoos and was quite amazed to find a satisfying little range of their products on the shelf. I debated for some time which one to choose, in Bulgaria the range includes Original, Blush, Cherry, Fresh, XXL Volume and Medium & Brunette. Finally, I thought to myself the Original one should sure be a good start.
To be honest, I really like this dry shampoo! :)
It comes in a beautifully stripped spray bottle of 200 ml, the price is reasonable for the amount you get, about 6-7 BGN. The scent is pleasant, powdery and fresh at the same time, clean & classic is a very good description.
As I had had unpleasant experience with dry shampoos in the past, I tried to follow strictly the directions for applying the product. So what I do is section my hair, spray from a distance of about 30 cm, wait for a minute and then massage the product into the roots, brush, style and enjoy my revitalized hair! Applying Batiste is quick and it does have the desired effect – my hair feels revived, clean-smelling and with a pleasant texture added in…
The only negative thing I can think of is the formula. Reading the ingredients, I feel like there are too much chemicals that my hair does not necessary need. I understand very well that the effect of the product may not be the same in a different formula. Still, beauty product ingredients are something that concerns me greatly. That is why I use the dry shampoo only on those really needy occasions :)

Here are some photos of my fourth-day hair with Batiste!
Have you ever used any of the Batiste dry shampoos? What are your thoughts on dry shampoos? And what I am curious the most – is there a natural alternative to dry shampoo?
