We chose Sinemorets for our summer vacation this year – small village to the south of the Bulgarian coastline, almost at the border with Turkey where Strandzha Mountain meets the Black Sea. And where sunsets are amazing! :)
Heading this far south, our intention was to find a joyful place that would give us peace, revive our souls and let us find again that inspiration for life faded away during the long months spent in the city. We did find it! Sinemorets!
Time moves slowly here. It gives you the chance to enjoy every sun beam, every slight noise in the air, every smell and taste – garden flowers, sea breeze, mint lemonade… And every little conversation that would happen :) Wondering around the streets of the village, we found ourselves in the company of horses living their free life, storks flying from rooftop to rooftop, fig trees with fruits almost ripen and inviting signs to taste some freshly produced honey.
Roaming around several beaches nearby Sinemorets, Lipite came to be my most favorite. A bit hard to reach but rewarding :) This is a lovely little haven with crystal clear blue water and silky sand in the heart of the wild, protected area of Silistar. Should you happen to visit it, please keep it clean, and be careful, the beach is unguarded!
I should definately not forget to share my most delicious holiday breakfast ever! :) Homemade butter crepes with Nutella and fresh fruits, strawberries and raspberries, and a cup of long black coffee… perfect start of the day. This we found at MaSa – Sweet & Salty – a charming little food stand place – don’t miss it!
Well-made elder flower lemonade is more than enough to make your day in the summer. The lemonades at Bar Koraba were super, the music was lovely, the view over the sea – priceless. I would certainly recommend it – day and night ;)
By this post you will probably tell I like sunsets and flowers! :))) I do and I also do like places like Sinemorets where summer stays serene blue and never-ending. I wish we had the time to stay longer :)
